A large contract with very high functional and esthetic aspirations for the Wood Laboratory Furniture. The design of the wood furniture, whether fixed or moveable, includes flat cut, centered and balanced American Black Cherry that provides beauty, durability and warmth.
Fundamental to the concept is adaptability. The users have the ability to quickly and easily re-position furniture elements as needed to help them more efficiently complete research tasks.
Design highlights:
- Flexible furniture including height adjustable tables and moveable base cabinets that incorporate removable top drawer assemblies
- One style of reagent shelving system spans 20 foot overall, is rigidly connected at either end with no mid-span supports that eliminate any potential interferences above the ceiling or below the worksurface
- Another style of reagent shelving system that is 10 feet overall suspends from the slab above and includes mechanical and electrical services
- Wood clad HOPEC IV fume hoods with wood base cabinets
